Abstract | It is known that organic molecules containing heteroatoms electrons donor in their structures such as oxygen, nitrogen and sulfur normally present good properties as corrosion inhibitors since these elements can be adsorbed onto the metal surface and act as a protective barrier against the aggressive ions. This adsorption can be two types: Chemical with the formation of a coordinate covalent bond or physical adsorption occurs between electrostatic attraction. In this work, we have been studying the imidazole compounds and their derivatives as an inhibitor of corrosion iron in NaCl medium. Knowing the behavior of these molecules in the saline medium is of great importance since such environments are easily found especially in the oil industry. Thus, of the aim this work is to study the inhibition mechanism imidazole and some of their derivatives onto iron surface in NaCl 3,5% medium. For such, electrochemical techniques and weight loss measurements were used. The results showed that the compounds studied acting with anodic corrosion inhibitors for iron in saline medium. |
