Summary:Preinterventional stenting was present in 13 patients (27.65%), in all cases being a double J. The stone free status was achieved in 41 cases (87.23), the need for a second intervention time being imposed in 5 cases (10.63%). Post-interventional stenting was required in all situations: double J - 28 cases (59.57%), double J + nephrostomy - 1 case, ureteral stent - 16 cases (34.04%), ureteral stent + nephrostomy - 2 cases. The essential advantages for the supine position are those represented by: anesthetic management, patient positioning, shortened operating time, decreased radiation exposure of the surgeon's hands, surgeon's ergonomics, facilitated antero-retrograde endoscopic access, facilitated access of the upper calyx by puncture of the lower calyx.
