VIOLENCIA DE PAREJA: UNA APROXIMACIÓN AL TRATAMIENTO DEL TEMA EN RESULTADOS DE INVESTIGACIÓN

The phenomenon of violence against women is not new; however, it has had more visualization in recent times. This article presents results of scientific investigations published in specialized databases, in order to present both methodologies and recurrent theoretical frameworks as factors and consequences of violence in relationships. The method used included elements such as years of publication, keywords, methods used in other research and concepts presented, which were organized in a categorical matrix in Excel. The findings are that the majority of women participating in the research belong to organizations or institutes where they receive support. There are sociodemographic and personal factors (low educational level, economic dependence, low self-esteem, etc.) that generate more vulnerability in women and the consequences of this violence are mood disorders, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorders, sexually transmitted diseases, and others. In addition, there is a wide variety of theories that guide the analysis, centering on the multiplicity of findings.
