Abstract Protecting human labors process seeks to eliminate and/or reduce the potential causes of injury and disease in order to achieve full control of risks from hazards associated. With all the technical progress and technology in most industries, and especially in the oil and natural gas, there are failures with casualty and property damage. For this reason, it is indispensable the presence of the special intervention and rescue teams to limit/ liquidation, failure that generates explosive atmosphere and/or toxic and rescue personnel surprised by such events. According to the applicable legislation on health and safety at work, the employer's general duty is to ensure state security and health of workers and the risk assessment process provides the opportunity to establish appropriate measures of prevention and protection in safely work corresponding to an acceptable level of risk assumed. Further are present, the operations that risk assessment will be carried out for extraction plants and processing of oil and natural gas, depending on the specific types of damage, hazards that may occur, to secure the damaged areas.
