Abstract The study assessed the effectiveness of group sessions of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) skill training program organized for the treatment of aggression. The participants included twelve students of grade 8 who were identified high in aggression on Aggression Questionnaire and have the history of aggression reported by their class teachers and parents. Among these half of the participants were assigned to the treatment group and were provided group sessions of CBT-oriented skill training program for the reduction of their aggression, whereas, the remaining half, the no-treatment group (wait-list control) received indirect therapy and no-skill training. As predicted the treatment group showed substantial decrease in their aggressive behavior compared to the control group. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
