Abstract | In the Southeast peninsular, anticyclonic situations and advections are fed in winter with polar / continental arctic air which is common. Under these conditions, intrabetic basins and river valleys are very prone to the development of inversions breakup temperature. A clear example is the Vega Media of the Segura in winter months, with relatively frequently frosts genesis in localized areas. As a complement to the study of the physical, it is carry out a deep agricultural study of the Huerta de Murcia and the possible effects that can generate low temperatures on the main crops of the study area, with special focus on major citrus. Finally, it is proposed a series anti-frost active and passive in relation to the characteristics of the study area and an empirical system for predicting low temperature, so that farmers possess tools to mitigate the effects of frost in the Vega Media. |
