Summary: | Foetal doptone monitoring was normal.Toxicological analysis of the bottled water showed a significant amount of zinc (ca. 190 g/l) and a significant amount of chloride (ca. 280 g/l); indicating the presence of zincchloride.Initial treatment consisted protonpompinhibitors, parenteral nutrition, followed by repeated gastroscopies and dilatation of a pylorusstricture after several weeks. Literature Key-points: Most common symptoms mentioned in literature are corrosive lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, vomiting, lethargy, metabolic acidosis, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency and renal insufficiency. |
