Summary:An abstract of a study by Chalifoux et al describing and comparing the effect of internalizing and externalizing child behavior problems on caregiver health is presented. Articles were first screened by title, then by abstract, and finally by full text. After screening, inclusion was determined by two independent investigators. Currently, 48 articles remain from the 26,466 articles retrieved (after duplicate elimination). This study will report on the effect sizes of child internalizing and externalizing behavior problems on caregiver physical and mental health and will identify gaps in the literature.
