참가자 간 상관분석을 활용한 ASMR 자극에 대한 개인 간 정서 반응 일관성

최근 인지신경과학 분야에서 사용되고 있는 참가자 간 상관분석은(intersubject correlation; ISC) 참가자들의 개인차를 고려하는데 적합하고 기존의 일반선형모델 분석(예: 변량분석)의 한계를 보상하는 분석으로 알려져 있다(Hasson et al., 2004; Nastase et al., 2019). 본 연구에서는 정서적으로 구별되는 ASMR 자극들에 대해 참가자들의 정서 반응 일관성을 측정하고 정서 유형 및 감각 양상의 조건 별 차이를 확인하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 Kim과 Kim(2020)의 청각적 ASMR 자극과 의미적으로 부합하는 시청각적 ASMR 자극을 사용하였다. 정서 평정 측정을 위해 10개의 정서 형용사 문항 5점 리커트 척도로 측정하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 먼저, 모든 자극들 쌍을 조합하여 참가자 간 상관 분석한 결과, 참가자들의 자극에 대한 정서 반응 일관성을 ISC 행렬을 통해 시각적으로 확인할 수 있었다. 주로, 정서적 혹은 감각 양상으로 유사한 자극들끼리 참가자 간 상관이 더 높은 모습을 보였다. 통계적 검증을 위해, 이 행렬의 요소 값들을 추출하여 동일 자극 쌍, 상이 자극 쌍 정서 내, 상이 자극 쌍 정서 간 데이터셋을 구성했다. 이들을 반복측정 변량분석한 결과, 정서 유형 및 감각 양상 조건 별 주효과와 상호작용효과가 관찰되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 참가자들의 정서 평정 일관성이 ASMR이 긍정적일수록 혹은 ASMR이 시각적 장면과 제시될 때, 유사해짐을 나타낸다. 그러나 참가자들의 부정적 ASMR 자극에 대한 ISC는 시각적 장면의 제시 유무와 관련이 없었다. 부정적 ASMR의 시각적 장면이 부정적 AMSR의 청각적 요소와 의미적으로 부합할지라도, 참가자들 간 유사한 정서 경험을 하는데 긍정적인 영향을 미치지 못했다. 본 연구의 결과는 부정적 AMSR이 참가자 간 정서 경험에 갖는 특수한 영향을 고려해야 함을 시사한다. In recent years of neuroscience area, intersubject correlation (ISC) has been regarded as a suitable method for considering individuals' differences. In this study, we measured the individual's affective responses on the distinctive ASMR stimuli and investigated if there are differences of intersubject correlation values between the experimental conditions. We used Kim and Kim (2020)'s data of the participants' affective responses to ASMR stimuli. We were able to find the consistency of affective responses across subjects by computing the ISC matrix. The participants tended to respond similarly when they watched emotionally similar stimuli. For follow-up analyses, the elements of the matrix were processed to make three different data sets, which consist of the same stimulus pairs set, different stimulus pairs within same emotion sets, and different stimulus pairs between emotion sets. Those data were analyzed using two-way repeated measures ANOVA to test the effects of affective valence and sensory modalities on ISCs. Results showed that when ASMR was positive or audiovisual, the participants tended to respond more similarly to the stimulus. The subjects did not respond similarly in audiovisual condition when they watched negative ASMR stimuli. Although the negative scenes were semantically corresponded to the negative auditory stimuli, the subjects reponses were not consistent. KCI Citation Count: 0
