Summary: | Sendai virus (SeV) infection can cause one of the most troublesome in laboratory rodents. As a diagnosis of SeV infection, it is important to use the most sensitive test method. ELISA techniques for detection of antibody to SeV generally have been shown to be more sensitive than other diagnostic techniques. Here, we developed an ELISA for detection of SeV infection in mice. Serological diagnostic accuracy was equivalent to commercial ELISA kit. SeV IgG ELISA test kit developed by us is reliable and could be used to diagnose SeV infection in rats and mice.
