Summary: | Reliability is defined as the repeatability of measurements or the consistency of repeated measurements. The most common type of reliability in medical research is the rater reliability. When the measurements are continuous, intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC) is used to evaluate the inter-rater reliability. There are different formulas for calculating the ICC which depend on the purpose of the study, the design of the study and type of measurements taken. If there is experience difference between raters and the rater effect is fixed, the mixed effect model is used. Regression analysis is used to estimate the dependent variable. Multiple regression models can be established to estimate height using anthropometric measurements. In this study, various regression models which have different explanatory coefficients are established with anthropometric measurements taken from the sample. Thus, methods with different estimation success have been obtained. This study is aimed to be a study of the reliability of method agreement instead of raters, as the agreement between methods is examined. |
