Summary:The aim of this work is to develop a micropower heart rate indicator integrated with CMOS technology. The implementation will use several micropower blocks, such as a continuous-time DC-compensated gain stage, an antialias filter, a switched-capacitor bandpass filter, and a QRS detector which consists of several nonlinear stages. So far, two types of experimental micropower amplifiers and the complete DC compensated preamplifier have been designed and tested for the heart rate indicator. In general, the test results show good agreement with the simulations. The differences between the measurement results and simulations are discussed.< >
