Summary:In this paper, a new search algorithm in the assessment of airport runway damage is developed based on the vulnerability of airport runway targets. The calculation model of the damage effectiveness of submunitions on airport targets is established based on the Monte Carlo sampling method. On the basis of considering the influence of CEP on blocking efficiency, the applicable conditions of two types of search methods, window traversal method and window scanning method, are studied. The numerical results show that when the CEP of the parent projectile is smaller, the blocking probability of the two search algorithms is comparable; as the CEP of the parent projectile increases, the error of the window scanning method increases, and the value of the blocking probability is gradually larger; however, the window traversal method has lower computational efficiency, so in practical calculations, we can refer to the specific value of the CEP to select the corresponding search algorithm.
