Summary: | The goal of this research work is to efficiently transfer electricity from the grid to the rechargeable E-bike battery by presenting a novel architecture for charging twowheeler EV batteries. Two crucial conversion stages make up the suggested system: an initial AC/DC conversion utilizing a diode bridge rectifier and a DC/DC converter to produce the required output voltage of 58.4 V. The Level 1 or Level 2 charger is simple to attach for hassle-free two-wheeler charging when parked at home or the office. While providing a technically competent method of EV charging, the design places a premium on simplicity and versatility, emphasizing use for riders of two-wheelers. This study highlights the increasing need for dependable charging infrastructure and technological breakthroughs, thereby significantly contributing to the field of electric vehicle technology. The study illustrates the necessity of Level 1 and Level 2 charging infrastructure, especially for two-wheelers. It also presents a novel yet useful method for converting AC to DC that combines a diode bridge rectifier with a DC-DC isolated converter. This creative charger design not only makes charging two-wheelers more convenient for users, but it also advances the conversation about grid integration and environmentally friendly transportation choices. This charger topology, which is positioned as a promising advancement in two-wheeler EV charging technology, has an emphasis on straightforward plug-and-play functionality and enhanced DC output. |
