Summary:Keeping of the viability of the seeds on high level for a long time, represent one of the main objective of preservation of genetic vegetable resources in gene banks. The studies were carried out at the Bank of Genes in Suceava regarding simultaneous influence of temperature and moisture of seeds on the viability of seeds, catalase activity and dynamics of cells division. Researches were performed regarding viability of seeds and catalase activity and pointed out the similitude and differences between the analysed species (barley, maize, horse bean, linen). Moisture and temperature have strongly influenced the viability of seeds in limes and the catalase activity in maize. Cytological observations regarding mitotic division showed that dynamics of cells division depends on two factors under study
