Summary:Farmers' Field Varietal Trial (FFVT) on barley was conducted during the winter season of 1994 at various Off-Station research (OSR) site and Outreach Research (OR) sites of Lumle Agricultural Research Centre (LARC) in the Western Hills of Nepal. The sites were located across varied agro-ecological zones of the Research Command Area (RCA) ranging from 1250m to 2150m to 2150m asl. The results of FFVT on barley show that, besides Bonus, LWR-29L and LWR-26L are the preferred varieties of barley for mid to high hills (1050-2150m asl).
