Summary:Zebrafish in the Spotlight: This title of a recent perspective in Science reflects the growing importance of a new model organism for developmental research, the zebrafish Danio rerio. Due to its small size, rapid generation time, powerful genetic systems, and genomic resources, the zebrafish has emerged as an important model of vertebrate development and human disease. In this study, we will focus on the histology of zebrafish and it might be helpful for future research in this model system.
