Summary:In order to study uptake condition of macro and micro elements by rice plant at different water regime ,a field experiment was conducted in paddy field of Mazandaran province on a silty loam texture with transplanting of Fajr variety. The experiment was laid out in randomized complete block design with 3 replications and 7 treatments (water regime):T1=Continuous flooding with 5 cm standing water. T2=Alternative irrigation with 3 cm standing water. T3= Alternative irrigation at transplanting up to reproductive stage and continuous flooding up to maturity with 5 cm standing water.T4= Alternative irrigation at transplanting up to reproductive stage and continuous flooding up to maturity with 3 cm standing water. T5= Soil saturation at seedling establishment up to reproductive stage and alternative irrigation up to maturity with 3 cm standing water. T6=Soil saturation at seedling establishment up to reproductive stage and alternative irrigation up to maturity with 5 cm standing water. T7=Soil saturation at seedling establishment up to maturity. After final puddling the plots was made 20m2(4x5m) and fertilizer were applied at recommended amounts for each plot. Hand weeding was done twice,15 days and 30 days after transplanting. Samples of plants were taken from shoot at 40 days after transplanting and straw and grain at harveest in every treatment and analyzed N,P,K, Zn,Fe,Mn and Cu.The results have shown that: Uptake of elements was different in treatments (water regime). Alternative irrigation (flooding and saturation ) in vegetative stage increased uptake Fe and continuous flooding at transplanting up to maturity increased uptake Mn ans soil saturation in vetetative stage increased uptake Zn and Cu.
