Abstract The residual effects of P fertilizer, lime and organic matter on soil fertility and yield of soybean were studied on an Ultisol at Cipanas, Rangkasbitung, in the dry season of 1985. The experiment had a randomized block design with an incomplete factorial arrangement of treatments. The treatments were combination of rate of P fertilizer, lime, and organic matter; with three replications. Residual P fertilizer increased soybean grain yield significantly. Yield of soybean on limed plots in the second cropping was insignificantly higher than that in the fourth cropping.
