Summary:A field study to findout the patterns of infestion to Mus musculus bactrianus and Suncus murinus sindensis in cultivated areas of Sri Ganganagar district (28 degrees-4'N - 75 degrees 30'E) and its vicinity was conducted during rabi and kharif seasons 1981 - 82. Mus musculus was found abundantly in wheat followed by in sugarcane crops. Suncus murinus sindensis, inhabits the same microhabitat. Almost similar pattern of distribution in relation to different crops during both the seasons was recorded in case of latter species of small mammal. Neither M. musculus nor S. m. sindensis inhabited wastelands
