Abstract A device for connecting two non-coaxial rotating shafts (16, 24) comprises a first body (26) connected to one shaft (16) and a second body (26') connected to the other shaft (24). A link (18) extends between the two bodies (26, 26'). A first coupling mechanism (12) connects the first body (26) to the link (18) and includes a first pair of conical rollers (36, 38) rotatably attached to either the first body (26) or the link (18). The first coupling mechanism (12) also includes first tapered aperture (41) through the other one of the first body (26) and the link (18) with the first pair of rollers (36, 38) located in the first tapered aperture (41). A second coupling mechanism (20) connects the second body (26') to the link (18) and includes a second pair of conical rollers (36', 38') rotatably attached to either the second body (26') or link (18). The other one of the second body (26') and the link (18) has a second tapered aperture (42) in which the second pair of the rollers (36', 38') is located.
