Abstract | A protein having a molecular weigth of about 200 kDa as determined by SDS-PAGE conducted under reductive conditions and an amino acid sequence represented by Sequence Listing (1) at the terminal, in particular, a protein originating in an animal brain and having an avidity with heparin-binding growth factors, e.g., OSF-1. The protein is useful as a remedy for disorders of nerve functions or osteogenetic ability, because it combines with OSF-1 (HBGF-8), one of the heparin-binding growth factors having the activities of promoting neuron differentiation and proliferating osteoblasts, to thereby control the action of OSF-1.
L'invention concerne une protéine présentant une masse moléculaire d'environ 200 kDa déterminée par SDS-PAGE effectuée dans des conditions de réduction, ainsi qu'une séquence d'acides aminés répresentée par la liste de la séquence (1) au niveau de la terminaison, notamment une protéine provenant du cerveau d'un animal et manifestant une avidité pour des facteurs de croissance liant l'hérapine, par exemple, OSF-1. La protéine est utile comme remède contre des troubles des fonctions nerveuses ou de la capacité ostéogénique, puisqu'elle se combine avec l'OSF-1 (HBGF-8), un des facteurs de croissance liant l'héparine présentant les activités de stimulation de la différentiation des neurones et de prolifération d'ostéoblastes, afin de réguler ainsi l'action du OSF-1. |
