The invention concerns a bottom-residue product containing isocyanate groups and with a toluylene diisocyanate content of less than 5 % by wt., preferably less than 1 % by wt., and in particular less than 200 ppm by wt.. The product is obtained from (A) distilliation residues arising in the production of toluylene diisocyanate, by mixing the distillation residues (A) with (B) polyisocyanates or polyisocyanate mixtures of the diphenylmethane series optionally modified with urethane and/or allophane groups and with an NCO content of at least 15 % by wt., followed by distillation of the mixture, the mixture being heated, before or during distillation, to temperatures of 190 to 250 C, thus causing a high degreee of substitution of the toluylene diisocyanate, reversibly bound up in the distillation residues (A), by polyisocyanates (B). The product is suitable for use as a binder in the production of substrates for the manufacture of pressed products. L'invention concerne un produit de queue de distillation présentant des groupes isocyanates, d'une teneur en toluylène-diisocyanate inférieure à 5% en poids, de préférence inférieure à 1 % en poids, en particulier inférieure à 200 ppm (en poids) obtenu à partir A) de résidus de distillation provenant de la fabrication de toluylène-diisocyanate, par mélange des résidus de distillation A) avec B) des polyisocyanates ou des mélanges de polyisocyanates de la série du diphénylméthane modifiés éventuellement par des groupes uréthanes et/ou allophanates, d'une teneur en NCO d'au moins 15 % en poids, suivi d'un traitement final du mélange par distillation, le mélange étant chauffé avant ou pendant le traitement par distillation à des températures de 190 à 250 °C, provoquant ainsi une substitution poussée du toluylène-diisocyanate, lié réversiblement dans le résidu de distillation A), par le polyisocyanate B). Ledit produit est utilisé comme liant lors de la compression de substrats pour la fabrication de pièces moulées par compression.
