A data processing system provides a folder icon (45) for holding representations (34) of sheets of information in user desired order. The folder has a closed position (45) in which a user generated label is viewable. The label is designed through a processor window activated through a tab portion of the closed folder icon. The folder also has an open position (46) for viewing the sheets held in the folder. The folder is changed between its open and closed positions by activation of a main body portion of the closed icon and the tab portion of the open folder icon (46). The open folder icon (46) provides addition or removal of representations (34) of sheets of information from and to an area outside of the folder in a screen view. Un système de traitement de données comporte un pictogramme représentant un classeur (45) contenant des représentations (34) de feuilles d'informations classées dans l'ordre souhaité par l'utilisateur. Le classeur présente une position fermée (45) dans laquelle une étiquette produite par l'utilisateur est visible. L'étiquette est indiquée par l'intermédiaire d'une fenêtre du processeur activée par un onglet du pictogramme de classeur fermé. Le classeur présente également une position ouverte (46) permettant de voir les feuilles qu'il contient. Le classeur passe de la position ouverte à la position fermée et vice versa grâce à l'actionnement d'un partie principale du corps du pictogramme fermé et de la partie d'onglet du pictogramme ouvert (46). Le pictogramme de classeur ouvert (46) permet l'addition ou l'élimination de représentations (34) de feuilles d'informations dans une zone située à l'extérieur du classeur représenté à l'écran.
