Abstract A very low spring rate vibration-damping clutch and pinion assembly for lowering the resonance of a power train to below the operating speed of the engine includes a vibration damping clutch with two circumferential rows of springs (30, 32, 34) and a necked-down portion (14) of a pinion shaft. The vibration damper is preferably connected to both the pinion shaft and the clutch disk (44) by spline connections (12, 21, 19, 23, 25, 37, 45). Assemblage embrayage-pignon à très faible flèche de ressort et amortissant les vibrations, servant à diminuer la résonance d'un engrenage de transmission jusqu'en dessous de la vitesse de fonctionnement du moteur. Cet assemblage comprend un embrayage amortissant les vibrations pourvu de deux rangées circonférentielles de ressorts (30, 32, 34) et une partie à gorge (14) d'un arbre de pignon. L'amortisseur de vibrations est relié de préférence à l'arbre de pignon et au disque de l'embrayage (44) par des connexions cannelées (12, 21, 19, 23, 25, 37, 45).
