Abstract | The present invention provides alpaca derived VHHs, therapeutic agents, compositions and methods for the prevention, amelioration and treatment of Hantavirus infections. The inventors obtained two neutralizing single domain VHH antibodies, VHH1 and VHH2 that specifically recognize hantavirus glycoproteins Gn/Gc presented on Viral-like Particles (VLPs). The invention also provides a method for the detection of Hantavirus in a sample and a method for the neutralization of Hantavirus, with VHH1 and VHH2 where the in vivo neutralization of the virus allows to control the disease in an individual.
La présente invention concerne des VHH dérivés d'alpaca, des agents thérapeutiques, des compositions et des procédés pour la prévention, le soulagement et le traitement d'infections par hantavirus. Les inventeurs ont obtenu deux anticorps VHH à domaine unique de neutralisation, VHH1 et VHH2 qui reconnaissent de manière spécifique des glycoprotéines de hantavirus Gn/Gc présentées sur des particules de type viral (VLP).
