According to some embodiments of the disclosure, it is provided a method of communication in an intelligent transport system, ITS, comprising at an ITS station, ITS-S, under test, SUT, receiving a request to obtain data from at least one component of the SUT, the received request comprising an item of information enabling selection of at least one component of the SUT, selecting at least one component of the SUT as a function of the received item of information, and obtaining data from the at least one selected component, and transmitting an ITS message comprising the obtained data. Selon certains modes de réalisation de la divulgation, est concerné un procédé de communication dans un système de transport intelligent (ITS), comprenant au niveau d'une station ITS (ITS-S) subissant un test (SUT), la réception d'une demande pour obtenir des données à partir d'au moins un composant du SUT, la demande reçue comprenant une information permettant la sélection d'au moins un composant du SUT, la sélection d'au moins un composant du SUT en fonction de l'élément d'informations reçu, et l'obtention de données à partir de l'au moins un composant sélectionné, et la transmission d'un message ITS comprenant les données obtenues.
