Abstract This invention can provide an information processing device and the like that prompts an authentication operation in a manner that is easily understandable to a user. An information processing device (10) includes a projection image acquisition unit (110), a determination unit (120), and a control signal output unit (130). For the projection image acquisition unit (110), a computer acquires a projection image obtained by projecting a prescribed guide image on the hand of a user presented to a biometric information reading device that reads prescribed biometric information from the hand of the user. The determination unit (120) determines whether the guide image included in the projection image and the hand image correspond to a prescribed condition. The control signal output unit (130) outputs a prescribed control signal to the biometric information reading device on the basis of the determination.
