The present invention addresses the problem of providing a rubber composition that achieves both durability and low fuel consumption. The solution to this problem is a rubber composition characterized by containing: a diene rubber (A); a heterocyclic compound (B) having at least one heterocycle selected from the group consisting of pyrimidine rings, pyridazine rings, pyrazine rings, triazine rings, and tetrazine rings; a metal salt (C); and sulfur (D), the rubber composition moreover being characterized in that the mass ratio (D/C) of the sulfur (D) and the metal salt (C) is 0.1-10. The heterocyclic compound (B) preferably has a triazine ring or a tetrazine ring. L'invention a pour objet de fournir une composition de caoutchouc qui concilie propriétés de faible consommation de carburant et durabilité. À cet effet, cette composition de caoutchouc est caractéristique en ce qu'elle contient un caoutchouc diénique (A), un composé hétérocyclique (B) possédant au moins un hétérocycle choisi dans un groupe constitué d'un cycle pyrimidine, d'un cycle pyridazine, d'un cycle pyrazine, d'un cycle triazine et d'un cycle tétrazine, un sel métallique (C) et un soufre (D), et le rapport massique （Ｄ／Ｃ） entre ledit soufre (D) et ledit sel métallique (C) est compris entre ０,１ et １０.
