Abstract | An electronic device according to an embodiment of the present document may comprise an image sensor including a plurality of unit pixels, and at least one processor electrically connected to the image sensor. Each unit pixel may include PDs, i.e., TL, TR, BL, and BR, which are disposed under a micro lens and have a 2x2 arrangement. The at least one processor may: acquire a first image frame from the image sensor; determine a driving mode of the image sensor on the basis of the first image frame; and according to the driving mode of the image sensor, perform H-direction AF by using TL, BL, or TL+BL AF data and TR, BR, or TR+BR AF data or perform V-direction AF by using TL, TR, or TL+TR AF data and BL, BR, or BL+BR AF data. Various other embodiments identified through the specification are also possible.
