A refrigeration apparatus, comprising a box body, wherein a food freshness preservation chamber, a freezing chamber and an aging chamber are respectively defined in the box body. The refrigeration apparatus further comprises an aging chamber door, wherein the aging chamber door is mounted on the box body and can move between a closed position and an open position. A method for operating a refrigeration apparatus comprises: receiving a meat aging input from a user interface of a refrigeration apparatus; and in response to the meat aging input, moving, to a locked position, a lock that is configured to maintain an aging chamber door at a closed position, thereby maintaining the aging chamber door at the closed position.
