Abstract A robust and rapid detection assay for the subspeciation of Mycobacterium abscessus is provided. The assay allows for three subspecies of M. abscessus to be detected, namely, M. abscessus subsp. abscessus, M. abscessus subsp. massiliense, and M. abscessus subsp. bolletii. La présente invention propose un dosage de détection robuste et rapide de la sous-espèce de Mycobacterium abscessus. Le dosage permet de détecter trois sous-espèces de M. abscessus, à savoir M. abscessus subsp. abscessus, M. abscessus subsp. massiliense et M. abscessus subsp. bolletii. Des sondes et des amorces de balises moléculaires ont été développées pour détecter les sous-espèces, et aussi pour déterminer quelles souches sont sensibles aux macrolides.
