Abstract According to an aspect, there is provided an apparatus for predicting a ballistic force on a subject, the apparatus comprising: a memory comprising instruction data representing a set of instructions; and a processor configured to communicate with the memory and to execute the set of instructions, wherein the set of instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to: model the body of the subject as a mechanical system comprising a plurality of masses joined by springs and dampers, wherein each of the masses represents a different region of the body of the subject, and predict the ballistic force on the subject, based on oscillations of the mechanical system. Selon un aspect, l'invention concerne un appareil destiné à prédire une force balistique sur un sujet, l'appareil comprenant : une mémoire comprenant des données d'instructions représentant un ensemble d'instructions; et un processeur configuré pour communiquer avec la mémoire et pour exécuter l'ensemble d'instructions, l'ensemble d'instructions, lorsqu'il est exécuté par le processeur, amène le processeur : à modéliser le corps du sujet en tant que système mécanique comprenant une pluralité de masses reliées par des ressorts et des amortisseurs, chacune des masses représentant une région différente du corps du sujet, et à prédire la force balistique sur le sujet, sur la base d'oscillations du système mécanique.

Selon un aspect, l'invention concerne un appareil destiné à prédire une force balistique sur un sujet, l'appareil comprenant : une mémoire comprenant des données d'instructions représentant un ensemble d'instructions; et un processeur configuré pour communiquer avec la mémoire et pour exécuter l'ensemble d'instructions, l'ensemble d'instructions, lorsqu'il est exécuté par le processeur, amène le processeur : à modéliser le corps du sujet en tant que système mécanique comprenant une pluralité de masses reliées par des ressorts et des amortisseurs, chacune des masses représentant une région différente du corps du sujet, et à prédire la force balistique sur le sujet, sur la base d'oscillations du système mécanique.
