Abstract This invention relates to a system and method for measuring vital body signs. The method comprises time synchronising a sequence of RGB and NIR images, detecting region of interest within the sequence of RGB and NIR images, extracting raw signals from the detected region of interest, extracting photoplethysmography (PPG) signals from the raw signals and estimating vitals of the person from the extracted PPG signals. La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé de mesure de signes vitaux. Le procédé comprend la synchronisation temporelle d'une séquence d'images RVB et NIR, la détection d'une région d'intérêt dans la séquence d'images RVB et NIR, l'extraction de signaux bruts à partir de la région d'intérêt détectée, l'extraction de signaux de photopléthysmographie (PPG) à partir des signaux bruts et l'estimation des signes vitaux de la personne à partir des signaux PPG extraits.
