Provided herein is a method for screening an immune checkpoint inhibitor, the method comprising the steps of: primarily culturing a biological specimen isolated from a subject to enrich T cells; treating the enriched T cells with immune checkpoint inhibitors; secondarily culturing a mixture of the immune checkpoint inhibitor-treated T cells and a cancer cell strain in which a gene for an immune checkpoint ligand is knocked out; and measuring a level of cytokines secreted from the secondarily cultured T cells.
