Selon divers aspects, l'invention concerne un système de détection de lumière (400, 900a, 9004, 1004), le système de détection de lumière (400, 900a, 9004, 1004) comprenant : un détecteur (402, 500, 902) conçu pour fournir un signal lumineux reçu ; et un circuit de traitement (406, 600, 908a, 908b) conçu pour : identifier un nombre de crêtes dans le signal lumineux reçu, et estimer un rapport signal/bruit associé au signal lumineux reçu sur la base du nombre de crêtes identifiées.
