Abstract The present application relates to the technical field of image processing, and in particular to a pulse wave velocity measurement method and an ultrasonic device. The method comprises: acquiring a target blood vessel ultrasonic image of a target object, the target blood vessel ultrasonic image comprising at least two sampling regions; obtaining the distance between the at least two sampling regions on the basis of the target blood vessel ultrasonic image; analyzing images in the at least two sampling regions to obtain a time difference of displacement of a preset point in a cardiac cycle between the at least two sampling regions; and determining the pulse wave velocity of the target object on the basis of the distance between the at least two sampling regions and the time difference of displacement of the preset point in the cardiac cycle between the at least two sampling regions.
