The present invention relates to a structure (20) comprising a horizontal tabletop and - a legs assembly (24) for supporting the structure (20) and that comprises a plurality of legs (36, 38), each of which comprises a flat upper part (42, 90) mounted so as to be articulated with respect to the tabletop (22), characterized in that the structure (20) comprises at least one flat member (52, 102) for blocking at least one leg (36, 38) in the use position, said member being mounted so as to pivot about a pivot axis (A3, A4) which extends in a plane containing the axis (A2, A1) for articulating the upper part (42, 90) of said at least one leg (36, 38) between a retracted angular position allowing the leg (36, 38) to be folded and an angular position for blocking the leg (36, 38) in the use position, in which an upper edge of the blocking member (52, 102) extends facing an opposite portion of said lower face (29) of the associated part (26) of the tabletop (22) in order to constitute an upper support edge for the lower face (29) of the associated part (26) of the tabletop (22). La présente invention a pour objet une structure (20) comprenant un plateau horizontal et - un piétement (24) d'appui de la structure (20) comportant plusieurs jambes (36, 38) dont chacune comporte une partie supérieure (42, 90) plane montée articulée par rapport au plateau (22) caractérisée en ce que la structure (20) comporte au moins un organe (52, 102) plan de blocage d'au moins une jambe (36, 38) en position d'utilisation qui est monté pivotant, autour d'un axe (A3, A4) de pivotement qui s'étend dans un plan contenant l'axe (A2, A1) d'articulation de la partie supérieure (42, 90) de ladite au moins une jambe (36, 38) entre une position angulaire escamotée permettant le pliage de la jambe (36, 38) et une position angulaire de blocage de la jambe (36, 38) en position d'utilisation dans laquelle un bord supérieur de l'organe (52, 102) de blocage s'étend en regard d'une portion en vis-à-vis de ladite face inférieure (29) de la partie (26) associée du plateau (22) pour constituer un bord supérieur d'appui pour la face inférieure (29) de la partie (26) associée du plateau (22).
