Abstract Provided is an absorbent article which has indicated on the surface thereof a mark that is visible even in an environment having insufficient illumination, and which ensures easy replacement thereof. This absorbent article has glossy layers (50, 50a, 52a, 52b) that are patterned and are provided on a skin-side surface and/or a non-skin-side surface thereof. Glossy-layer-arranged regions, which are regions where the glossy layers are provided, have a gloss level that is higher than that of the regions surrounding the glossy layers. The glossy-layer-arranged regions have a gloss level of 7 or higher. L'invention concerne un article absorbant dont la surface porte une marque visible même dans un environnement insuffisamment éclairé, et qui permet de le remplacer facilement. Cet article absorbant comporte des couches brillantes (50, 50a, 52a, 52b) qui sont configurées et disposées sur sa surface côté peau et/ou sa surface du côté opposé à la peau. Les régions agencées en couches brillantes, qui sont les régions où les couches brillantes sont disposées, présentent un degré de brillance qui est supérieur à celui des régions entourant les couches brillantes.
