Abstract The purpose of the present invention is to ensure a sufficient discharge flow rate of gas when the pressure within a battery case becomes high. This battery case (30) is a battery case that houses a battery (2) within a housing (10), and comprises: a gas exhaust port (51) that opens to a wall plate (43) covering the periphery of the housing (10); and a gas discharge mechanism (G) that is placed to cover the gas exhaust port (51) from the inside of the wall plate (43), and that has a lid (35m) fixed at the housing (10) side. Le but de la présente invention est d'assurer un débit d'évacuation suffisant de gaz lorsque la pression à l'intérieur d'un boîtier de batterie devient élevée.
