Summary: | A method and apparatus for generating a covariance matrix during adaptive beamforming of a multi-beam antenna. The method uses an upper right triangle of the covariance and time sharing of complex conjugate multipliers to efficiently compute the covariance matrix. In addition, a variable number of beams may be selected in the covariance matrix according to an operating environment of the multi-beam antenna.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de génération d'une matrice de covariance au cours de la mise en forme adaptative de faisceaux d'une antenne multifaisceaux. Le procédé utilise un triangle supérieur droit de la covariance et un partage temporel de multiplicateurs complexes conjugués pour calculer de manière efficiente la matrice de covariance. De plus, un nombre variable de faisceaux peut être sélectionné dans la matrice de covariance selon un environnement fonctionnel de l'antenne multifaisceaux. |
