Abstract | A power management method in a power over USB switching dock (102). The USB dock (102) comprising multiple powered USB ports (112, 114, 116, 118) connected to USB elements (120, 122, 124). If a USB element (120, 122, 124) is connected to a priority port, power is recovered from the other ports to the priority downstream port and power capabilities are advertised.
