Abstract The present invention relates to a method for obtaining a stable, selective and highly active catalyst and to its use in the direct methanation of biogas in intensified reactors that operate in a single stage with a high conversion level. The catalyst developed comprises a ruthenium-based formulation supported on cerium-modified alumina. La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento de obtención de un catalizador altamente activo, selectivo y estable y su uso en la metanación directa de biogásen reactores intensificados que operan en una sola etapa con alto nivel de conversión. El catalizador desarrollado comprende una formulación basada en rutenio soportada sobre alúmina modificada con cerio. La présente invention concerne un procédé dôbtention d'un catalyseur hautement réactif, sélectif et stable et son utilisation dans la méthanation directe de biogaz dans des réacteurs intensifiés qui fonctionnent en une seule étape avec un haut niveau de conversion.
