Abstract | The present disclosure relates to the development of hydrogels with extreme stiffness and high-strength. In particular, an hydrogel comprising poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) and graphene material with a specific oxidation degree. The hydrogels of the present disclosure may be used in medicine, veterinary or cosmetic, namely as scaffold, cartilage, intervertebral disc and blood contact device such as: catheters, vascular grafts, heart valves, stents, artificial kidneys, artificial lungs, ventricular assist devices or drug delivery system. Uses in other areas can be envisaged, like in soft robotics, packaging, sealing and sensors.
La présente invention concerne le développement d'hydrogels ayant une rigidité extrême et une résistance élevée. En particulier, l'invention concerne un hydrogel comprenant du poly(méthacrylate de 2-hydroxyéthyle) et un matériau de graphène ayant un degré d'oxydation spécifique. Les hydrogels selon la présente invention peuvent être utilisés en médecine, dans les domaines vétérinaire ou cosmétique, à savoir comme échafaudage, cartilage, disque intervertébral et dispositif en contact avec le sang tel que : des cathéters, des greffes vasculaires, des valvules cardiaques, des endoprothèses vasculaires, des reins artificiels, des poumons artificiels, des dispositifs d'assistance ventriculaire ou un système d'administration de médicaments. Des utilisations dans d'autres domaines peuvent être envisagées, comme dans les domaines de la robotique souple, des emballages, de l'étanchéité et des capteurs. |
