Abstract A system, apparatus and method are provided for processing articles. The system includes subsystems for synthesizing, pre-treating, conducting a vapor phase coating process and post-treating articles in the form of powders and solid or porous workpieces. The apparatus permits vapor phase synthesis, treatment and deposition processes to be performed with high efficiency and at high overall throughput. The methods include converting solids, liquids or gases into gaseous and solid streams that can be separated or exchanged with or without treatment and/or coating steps, and produce optimized composite articles for specific applications. La présente invention concerne un système, un appareil et un procédé de traitement d'articles. Le système comprend des sous-systèmes de synthèse, de prétraitement, de conduite d'un procédé de revêtement en phase vapeur et de post-traitement d'articles sous la forme de poudres et de pièces solides ou poreuses. L'appareil permet de réaliser des procédés de synthèse, de traitement et de dépôt en phase vapeur avec une efficacité élevée et un débit global élevé. Les procédés comprennent la conversion de solides, de liquides ou de gaz en courants gazeux et solides qui peuvent être séparés ou échangés avec ou sans étapes de traitement et/ou de revêtement, et produisent des articles composites optimisés pour des applications spécifiques.
