The purpose of the present invention is to provide a fabric spreading device with which it is possible to spread a remaining portion of a fabric thoroughly and to eliminate wrinkles regardless of the state or type of the fabric without requiring involvement of an assistant tasked for eliminating wrinkles. This fabric spreading device has a belt conveyor which receives an upper edge of a fabric C spread in the right and left directions, draws the fabric C rearward, sequentially pulls up the remaining portion of the fabric C from an intermediate part to the lower edge thereof, and discharges the entire fabric rearward. The belt conveyor is further provided with a wrinkle eliminating part 13 which, while the belt conveyor is pulling up the remaining portion of the fabric C from the intermediate part through the lower edge, eliminates wrinkles in said remaining portion. The wrinkle eliminating part 13 is provided with: a pair of wrinkle eliminating clamps 13a which pinch the right and left lateral parts of the remaining portion of the fabric C that is being pulled up by the belt conveyor; and wrinkle eliminating clamp transfer mechanisms 13c, 13e which cause the pair of wrinkle eliminating clamps 13a to, as the remaining portion of the fabric c is pulled up by the belt conveyor, move upward and to separate away from each other in the right and left directions. Le but de la présente invention est de fournir un dispositif d'étalement de tissu grâce auquel il est possible d'étaler soigneusement une partie restante d'un tissu et d'éliminer les plis indépendamment de l'état ou du type du tissu sans faire appel à un assistant chargé d'éliminer les plis. Ce dispositif d'étalement de tissu a un transporteur à courroie qui reçoit un bord supérieur d'un tissu C étalé dans les directions droite et gauche, tire le tissu C vers l'arrière, soulève séquentiellement la partie restante du tissu C d'une partie intermédiaire à son bord inférieur, et distribue l'ensemble du tissu vers l'arrière. Le transporteur à courroie est en outre doté d'une partie d'élimination des plis (13) qui, en même temps que le transporteur à courroie soulève la partie restante du tissu C de la partie intermédiaire vers le bord inférieur, élimine les plis dans ladite partie restante.
