Abstract | The present invention shows that miR-185-5p exhibits higher levels of relative expression (2-ΔCt, where ΔCt= Ct miRNA of interest (miR-185-5p) -Ct endogenous miRNA) in asthma patients than in healthy individuals. Moreover, the levels of expression of miR-185-5p differ not only between healthy individuals and asthma patients, but also between healthy individuals and each of the subgroups of asthma patients (intermittent, persistent mild, moderate and severe). The results further show that the last two severity levels, the persistent moderate and severe levels, exhibit a gradation or progressive increase in expression in comparison with intermittent and persistent mild levels.
La presente invención muestra que miR-185-5p presenta niveles superiores de expresión relativa (2-ΔCt donde ΔCt= Ct miARN de interés (miR-185-5p) -Ct miARN endógeno) en los pacientes asmáticos comparados con los individuos sanos. Además, los niveles de expresión de miR-185-5p no sólo son diferentes entre sanos y asmáticos, sino entre sanos y cada uno de los subgrupos de asmáticos (intermitentes, persistentes leves, moderados y graves). Los resultados muestran además que los últimos dos escalones de gravedad, los persistentes moderados y graves presentan un escalonamiento o aumento progresivo de su expresión en comparación con intermitentes y persistentes leves.
