This alertness induction control device is provided with: a drowsiness detecting unit (110) which detects a drowsiness level representing a degree of drowsiness of a user (U); a control unit (120) which, if the drowsiness level detected by the drowsiness detecting unit (110) satisfies certain criteria, drives an alertness inducing unit (300) that induces a state of alertness in the user (U), and stops the alertness inducing unit (300) when a predetermined time has elapsed since the alertness inducing unit (300) was driven; and an output unit (130) which outputs drive information to the alertness inducing unit (300); wherein the drive information includes time information indicating the time until the control unit (120) stops the alertness inducing unit (300).
