Provided is a cutting tool that is capable of highly accurately positioning a third pulley. A desktop circular saw 1 is provided with: a first pulley 601 that rotates integrally with a motor shaft 68B; an intermediate shaft 602 that is provided with a second pulley 603 and a third pulley 605; a first belt 604 that is stretched between the first pulley 601 and the second pulley 603; a spindle 606 that is provided with a fourth pulley 607; a second belt 608 that is stretched between the third pulley 605 and the fourth pulley 607; a bearing 70a that rotatably supports the intermediate shaft 602 and that is positioned between the second pulley 603 and the third pulley 605; a bearing 70b that rotatably supports the intermediate shaft 602 and that is positioned opposite to the second pulley 603 side of the third pulley 605; and a gear case 65 and a gear cover 66 that support the bearings 70a and 70b, wherein a part of the gear case 65 is positioned between the second pulley 603 and the third pulley 605.
