Abstract | Disclosed is a smart-television playback method, used for a WebKit WebOS-based smart television and comprising: when the smart television is powered on, launching a WebKit kernel process on the basis of a Linux kernel and a driver layer; launching a state management daemon to detect a control instruction received by the smart television; by means of the WebKit kernel process, sending said control instruction to a daemon corresponding to the control instruction, so that the daemon executes a control operation corresponding to the control instruction. Also disclosed is a playback apparatus for a smart television. In the present invention, a control instruction is transmitted, by means of a WebKit kernel process, to a corresponding daemon for playback control, such that the smart television may do away with the intermediate layer by using a WebOS based on WebKit, improving the smoothness of playback of multimedia files on the smart television.
